in plain english

Storefront Skills is a collection of AI skill packs that teach coding assistants like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, and custom GPTs how to build Shopify storefront pages designed to convert visitors into customers. Rather than writing the storefront code yourself, you install these skills and then describe what page you want, and the AI assistant follows built-in workflows to plan, generate, and publish it. The core plugin adds a set of commands and skills covering common ecommerce tasks: generating a product page, landing page, or homepage, optimizing an existing page for better conversion, rebuilding a competitor's page adapted to your own brand, setting up A B tests, and configuring the shopping cart's upsells and behavior. On top of the core plugin, there are optional industry specific add-ons for categories like beauty, supplements, fashion, food, home goods, and luxury products, each carrying patterns tuned to that kind of storefront. Behind the skills sits a hosted service called the Lexsis AI MCP server, which provides the actual tools these skills call, such as generating a page or publishing it live. Claude Code users need to get an API key from the Lexsis website and add it to their MCP settings, while Codex users complete an OAuth login prompt instead. The skills can also use an optional browser tool to take screenshots after a page is generated, so you can visually check the result before it goes live. Everything is organized as separate installable plugins: a required core plugin plus optional vertical add-ons, along with separate folders formatted for Codex, Cursor, and custom GPTs. The project welcomes outside contributions and documents how to add a new industry vertical or a new skill. It is released under the MIT license.
