Social skills is a collection of 14 reusable skills that teach an AI agent, like Claude Code or another agent supporting the Agent Skills spec, how to write social media content that actually sounds like a specific person or brand, rather than generic AI text. The idea is that most agents can already produce grammatically fine posts, but without context about who you are, who you are talking to, and how a particular platform's feed actually reads, the result comes out sounding like anyone, with the same predictable structure and a bolted on question at the end. The project splits the problem into three parts. First, a couple of foundation skills interview the user or analyze real writing samples to build a single context file that captures voice, audience, content pillars, and things the person refuses to post about. Every other skill then reads that same file so the tone stays consistent. Second, a set of creation skills draft platform specific content: single posts for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, or Mastodon, full thread scripts, slide by slide Instagram or LinkedIn carousels, ad copy, and even reels ready video scripts, each shaped around how that particular platform's feed actually behaves rather than a generic template. Third, planning skills turn a person's content pillars into a realistic posting calendar and audit what has been working so far. Installation happens through a small command line tool called skills, either installing the whole collection or a single skill by name, or through a Claude Code plugin that auto-updates. The project requires no social media accounts and no API keys, since it only produces drafts of text for a human to review and post themselves, it does not connect to any platform or publish anything automatically. The project is written in JavaScript, and each skill is documented in its own file inside the repository. It is licensed under the MIT license.
