Navigator Gen3 is a free, open source Android app for KTM and Husqvarna motorcycle riders. Its main job is to take turn-by-turn navigation from Google Maps on your phone and show it directly on the small connected dashboard screen that comes with newer KTM and Husqvarna Gen-3 motorcycles, so a rider can glance at the bike's own display instead of a phone mounted on the handlebars. Google Maps does not normally send this kind of information to a motorcycle dashboard, so the app works around that gap in a clever way: it uses a small on-device artificial intelligence model that has learned to recognize Google Maps' own turn arrow icons, such as turning left, taking a roundabout exit, or making a U-turn, purely by looking at the notification. This lets the app show the correct arrow, distance, road name, and estimated arrival time on the bike's screen without any official partnership with Google or the motorcycle brands. Beyond navigation, the app adds several rider-focused extras. It can play stereo beeps in each ear that speed up as an upcoming turn gets closer, sound an alarm if you go over the speed limit, and mirror phone notifications to the dashboard while filtering out group chat noise. It can also record a ride as a standard GPX file and later show that ride on a map colored by speed, along with basic statistics, and it lets the bike's handlebar buttons act as a media remote or even a simple controller for other phone apps. Privacy is treated as a core feature rather than an afterthought. The app collects no data, requires no account, and runs everything, including the AI recognition, directly on the phone. Nothing about your location, routes, or notifications is sent anywhere, unless you choose to add your own Gemini key for optional notification summaries. The project is still in beta. It has been tested mainly on one KTM model, needs the motorcycle's paid connectivity feature active to work, and currently requires you to manually reconnect the dashboard each time you turn the bike on and off. It is written in Kotlin and can be installed from a ready made APK or built from source with Android Studio.
